On <strong>iPhone<\/strong>: In portrait mode, Scanner button is at the bottom. In landscape, hold iPhone with Home button on left to get the Scanner button on the left. On <strong>iPad<\/strong>: In portrait mode, Shutter is on the right. Turn the iPad upside down to get it on the left. For landscape, rotate the iPad until the button is at the bottom.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"cropping\"><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>CROPPING HELP<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">C1) Where are cropped photos saved:<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Tap thumbnail on top left of Scanner screen to go to <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen. Here, you will find thumbnails of your cropped photos. Tap any to open photo. Tap <b>Original<\/b> button on bottom left of <b>Cropped<\/b> screen to see un-cropped versions of your scans.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>C2) The photo I scanned isn&#8217;t on Cropped screen: <\/strong><\/span>Check <strong>Originals<\/strong> screen for uncropped photos. If the photo is on <strong>Originals<\/strong> but not <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen, it wasn&#8217;t scanned properly. If you follow the tips in C1 above, automatic cropping will be very accurate. Both apps allow unlimited scanning, and require no sign-up or recurring subscriptions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>B2) App Store doesn&#8217;t let me purchase anything.<\/strong> <\/span><span class=\"ILfuVd yZ8quc\">Go to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>iTunes &amp; <\/strong><b>App Store<\/b>, log out by tapping your Apple ID and selecting Sign Out. Reboot your device. Return and log back in. If this doesn&#8217;t work, call Apple Support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">B3) Do I have to pay separately for using the app on iPhone and iPad?<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>No. If both devices are linked to the same Apple ID, you pay only once. If you buy the app on iPhone, the message <strong>Buy Unlimited<\/strong> vanishes after <span class=\"il\">purchase<\/span>. Download the free version on iPad &gt; <span class=\"il\">Tap <strong>Menu<\/strong> button on Camera screen &gt; <strong>Buy Unlimited<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Restore Purchase<\/strong>.<\/span> Unlimited scanning is enabled.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"sharing\"><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>SAVE &amp; SHARE HELP<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">T1) How to save scanned pictures to Photos app or Dropbox?<\/span> <\/span><\/strong>Tap <strong>Select<\/strong> on <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen &gt; select thumbnail(s) &gt; <strong>Export<\/strong> &gt; From sharing options, select Photos or Dropbox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T2) How to transfer scanned pictures to computer? <\/strong>There are two ways to do it:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 1 (Airdrop)<\/strong>: Ensure that your iPhone\/ iPad and Mac are both connected to the same wifi and have Airdrop enabled. Tap Menu &gt; Backup &gt; Mac \/ Cloud &gt; When export locations are shown, wait until your Mac shows up in Airdrop options, and select it. This will save a zip file of all your photos on the Mac. Unzip it, and your photos will be in a folder named splitted_images.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method 2 (iCloud)<\/strong>: On <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen, tap <strong>Select<\/strong> &gt; choose photos\u00a0 &gt; <strong>Export<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Photos<\/strong>. If iCloud is enabled, photos will automatically sync to Photos app on computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T3) <span class=\"im\">How to save to OneDrive, Google Photos or other cloud services? <\/span><\/strong><span class=\"im\">See Method 1 in T2 above<\/span>. When export locations are shown, choose Save to Files. Within it, you&#8217;ll see <span class=\"im\">OneDrive, Google Photos or other cloud storage apps on your iPhone\/iPad. Select desired.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>T4) <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">How to export photos from Originals screen?<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Tap <strong>Select<\/strong> &gt; choose photos &gt; <strong>Move<\/strong>. Photos are moved to <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen, and you can export them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>T5) How to export albums and captions? <\/strong><\/span>To export captions, select photos &gt; Export &gt; On &#8216;captions and borders&#8217; screen, select &#8216;Include&#8217; (Unlocking requires a one-time purchase.) Save the selected photos from Pic Scanner to Photos app on your iPhone or iPad, and sync to computer. This will give you good enough scans for 240-300 DPI prints. Better still, upgrade to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.picscannergold.com\">Pic Scanner Gold<\/a> for higher resolution scans.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>G2) Trying to send message through the contact form, but it says &#8216;Failed. Try again&#8217;. <\/strong><\/span>This can happen if you are not on wi-fi. If away from wifi, go to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Cellular<\/strong>, and ensure that Pic Scanner is ON.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>G4) I am out of space on my iPhone\/iPad. What to do? <\/strong>F<\/span>ree up space by deleting unneeded originals. Tap\u00a0 <strong>Originals<\/strong> button on <strong>Cropped<\/strong> screen, and delete the un-cropped photos. It ensures that your photos stay safe even if you lose your device &#8211; or accidentally delete Pic Scanner.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>G6) <\/strong><strong>The app is frozen<\/strong>.<\/span> Double click <strong>Home<\/strong> &gt; Close Pic Scanner by sliding its tile out of multi-tasking tray &gt; Press <strong>Home<\/strong> &gt; Launch Pic Scanner. It will work normally.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>G7) I deleted scanned photos. Can I recover them? <\/strong><\/span>Open iTunes and see if you have a recent backup. Restore procedure is similar to <a href=\"http:\/\/appinitio.com\/picscanner\/blog\/blogposts\/how-to-transfer-photos-from-old-to-new-iphone\/\">this<\/a>. Without a back-up, you can&#8217;t restore. We save photos in the app itself, not on server. When you delete the app, its contents get deleted.
