Joggle – Word Puzzle is a crossword-like word game. Exercise your brains, improve your vocabulary or challenge friends. You’ll find it’s loads of fun.
How to Play
Press PLAY to start the game.
The game screen opens:
You have a six-letter word and a clue. The answer to the clue is a word formed by changing two letters in the given six-letter word. You have 60 seconds.
Tap the first letter you’d like to change (Say M). Six options appear. Tap the one you want (Say D), it replaces M:
Replace the second letter in the same way to log your answer to the puzzle:
You need 1 coin to play a game. We’ll get you started with 10 free coins, and you can earn more as you play. For example, solving a puzzle in under 20 seconds gets you 1 coin, and in 21-40 seconds makes that game free. Only if you take over 40 seconds or can’t solve it, one coin is deducted. There are more ways to earn free coins, explained below. Of course, you can also buy coins.
Three Levels of Challenge
Are the clues too easy for you? Or too hard? Joggle offers three levels of difficulty. The default is WIZ, medium difficulty. You can switch to PRO (Cryptic) or FUN (Easy) modes via Settings.
In FUN (Easy) mode, the clues are easier and the two letters you need to change are underlined:
WIZ (Medium difficulty) mode has the same clues as FUN mode, but the letters that need changing aren’t highlighted. This makes it a little harder.
PRO mode has cryptic clues. The letters to be changed are also not highlighted. Select this mode only if you are a seasoned crossword solver and want to seriously jog your brains!
In WIZ and PRO mode if you’re stuck and need a hint, double-tap the screen for a hint, i.e. reveal which two letters you have to change. Use hints sparingly, because they cost 1 coin a pop!
Earning and Buying Coins
Cracking a clue quickly (in under 20 seconds) earns you one coin. You can also get one free coin every day by simply launching Joggle and tapping the bonus coin button. Another way to earn a coin is to go to your Profile/Wallet and watch a video ad until the end. If you’ve solved a clue fast, you can challenge your friends by sharing the game report on Facebook or Twitter (and earning a coin in the bargain!)
